Play in Browser runs the same client on this page — nothing to install. It needs the server to be running its WebSocket bridge, so not every world will accept it; the desktop client always will.
Join Now links open in the RSCD Community client — a desktop program for Windows, macOS and Linux. Free, open source, and it plays on every community world. It is the full client: saved settings, and the SkullOrca scripting the browser version does not carry.
